The race for the 2016 BTCC crown is edging nearer to completion as rounds 25, 26 and 27 of the thirty round Championship take place this weekend.
The world famous Silverstone circuit plays host to the penultimate event, where sensational thrills and emotional spills of championship hopes will unfold.
6th place Colin Turkington is one of those needing a strong set of results from the next three races and will be giving everything he has in order to stay in Championship contention.
At only 1.64 miles the Silverstone National circuit delivers in action what it lacks in distance, and will certainly provide superb track side and TV viewing.

“Each year gets busier and busier towards the end of the season and I’m usually glad to just get in the car and focus on the driving!”
“Although I have a grid penalty to take in race 1, I’m approaching the event exactly the same as all the others. I have considered all the various strategies and scenarios on how to get to the sharp end as quickly as I can, so hopefully one of them will work!
Silverstone National is a relatively simple circuit with three long straights and tight bends at each end, but that means your driving has to be even more perfect to gain an advantage. I’m not convinced this will be one of our better circuits, but I’m prepared to work hard at it and hope for some good fortune to help me play my way back into the fight.”

Driving a race replica Subaru Levorg road car, Colin took a tour of his favourite destinations and tourist attractions in Northern Ireland.
Blogging his travels on social media, the Northern Irishman even managed to get the car down onto the Giants Causeway!
The 20 minute documentary is a must see!
